The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has proposed introducing commerce as a subject for students in standards V to X across Maharashtra. This move aims to establish a strong financial understanding before students choose their higher secondary streams. The state education department is reviewing the proposal, which has reportedly received a positive initial response.
