The United States has introduced new fees for foreign nationals applying for work authorisation, effective August 21, 2025. Form I-765 now costs $470 online and $520 on paper, with additional fees for asylum seekers, parolees, and TPS holders. A new $100 annual Asylum Fee applies to those with pending Form I-589 applications. Validity periods for Employment Authorisation Documents have also been shortened. Applications filed without the required fees will be rejected by USCIS.
