President Droupadi Murmu attended the 20th convocation ceremony of Kumaun University in Nainital, Uttarakhand. She emphasised that education should nurture intellect, skills, and moral character while promoting self-reliance and humility. Highlighting India’s rapid economic growth, she encouraged youth to embrace innovation, research, and entrepreneurship. The President praised the University’s efforts in environmental conservation and urged students to engage with local communities. She expressed confidence in young people’s role in achieving India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
