Brown University has granted $1.5 million to the Community College of Rhode Island to boost early childhood educator training. This funding will establish five new certificate programs, including Providence’s first bilingual credential, aiming to serve 125 educators and address multilingual learner needs in schools. Scholarships and student support are also included.
