CBSE 12th toppers 2026: Humanities shines as schools celebrate scores above 97% despite overall dip

A day after CBSE declared the Class XII results with the overall pass percentage dropping to 85.20%, several schools across India announced standout performances by their toppers. Students from The Somaiya School, EuroSchool, Billabong High International School and Phoenix Greens School of Learning secured scores above 95% across Humanities, Commerce and Science streams. Despite concerns over tougher papers and On-Screen Marking, schools reported strong academic outcomes, with Humanities and Commerce students dominating the top ranks this year.
