Delhi government offices will remain closed on Tuesday, October 7, for Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, an official statement said. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will participate in programmes, processions, and tribute meetings across the capital. Valmiki, the ‘adikavi’ and Ramayana creator, symbolizes equality, justice, and humanity. The government will also hold a special event at the Secretariat highlighting his life and teachings.
