Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, is planning a NEP-aligned academic reform titled ‘Design Your Degree’ as part of its Golden Jubilee initiatives. The proposal aims to offer flexible, student-centric learning through elective baskets, interdisciplinary combinations, and competency-based skill tracks. Emphasising projects, internships, portfolios and community engagement over exams, the model will use structured credit pathways and academic advising, with support from MDU’s Centre for Curriculum Design and Development during phased pilots and statutory approval processes nationwide.
