Why are Georgia schools bringing back cursive in the age of keyboards?

Cursive writing, once pushed aside as schools prioritised digital skills, is staging a comeback in Georgia. Powers Ferry Elementary earned statewide recognition after most of its students demonstrated proficiency in cursive, including writing the Preamble to the US Constitution. With new legislation mandating instruction in grades 3–5, Georgia joins a growing number of states restoring handwriting to classrooms.
